Stock Bulls

We are delighted with the first calves on the ground from Pilsbury Ellison U430, who we purchased in May 2019 and have used as our senior stock bull in 2020.

Oldcastle Ezra R698 who we purchased in August 2015 is continuing to work well.

Male sexed semen from Rawburn Black Bush S420 was used for the first time in April 2020 and his progeny will be available from 2022.

We select our stock bulls on the basis of shape and correctness, excellent feet and EBV figures with a strong emphasis on calving ease.

Our Herd

The Eddisbury Pedigree Aberdeen Angus herd was established in 1981 by Jeremy and Meg Weston with two cows from the Curzon herd of D C Moss & Son, Nottingham.

The suckler herd is now 115 cows and the Westons were joined in the business by their daughter and son in law, Katie and Nigel Waterworth in 2001.

Based on two families descended from the original cows, our replacement heifers are selected for structural correctness, calm temperament and excellent growth performance. Our milky, medium framed cows weigh around 650-700 kg.
